I received this very kind award from Mairin.
"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
I've pared it down to three. My recipients are....

My sister from another mother,
Let me put this as delicately as possible. Have you been drinking heavily today? Doing drugs? Giving yourself DIY shock therapy?
You picked me for a ‘Kindness’ award? Not a ‘sarcasm’ award? Not a ‘has spent enough money on his running shoe collection to feed a third-world country’ award?
Did you actually read the description of the award you on your post?
I’m touched, I’m humbled. I’m flummoxed. I’m speechless. This could be a dramatic turning point in my life. I may turn over a new leaf now. I think I’ll go out and run in a field of flowers and sing like Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. Or maybe gather all the kids together and sing Kumbaya around the campfire. I think a need to change the name of blog to Kind Catholic Dad.
Thanks for the award sis. Have a great weekend
Rob,
You are no more flummoxed than I wen I discovered myself to be the sole recipient of the award from Mairin. I couldn't decide if she had somehow seen into the soft nougat center of me or if she meant it as a very funny, very sarcastic joke.
Take it either way. I'm either being sarcastic, or I have been talking to your wife and she told me the truth about you that only she gets to witness. Whichever way you decide to take it, ENJOY!
P.S. I hope Sam is doing well and is not spending her days as I am, curled up in the fetal position and praying for the 1st trimester to be over!!!!!
he is a sad strange little man...and while on your kindness kick why don't you let your wife slept in tomorrow!= instead of going running!!!
Sam,
You're a Catholic mom, I expected you to be better at this whole guilt thing by now. Let me help you out.
My dear sweet brother from another mother,
How could you even think of going out running tomorrow and leaving the mother of your children...who happens to be pregnant again, and we know who she can thank for that, don't we? Going out for your own personal pleasure and putting your own desires ahead of those of your wife who just wants to sleep in and save up the energy which will be necessary to care for YOUR 12th child. What are you thinking? You should be planning a stealthy campaign to remove the children from the house as early and a silently as possible so that your lovely bride, the love of your life, can stay in bed and spend the day in the manner which she prefers, sleeping. I don't think that's too much to ask. Do you?
How was that, Sam? Us pregnant mams have to stick together.
perfect...I will be taking a power nap...again...and that is how I feel...really tired, eating everything in sight...even if I have about 6 personal trainers saying that I CANT deliver another 11 lb baby!!! Little sick-nothing compared to you or the rest of the pregnancy world...that's ok I will be struggling to put on the support hose in the heat and you will be feeling great!!!
