And Then God Laughed

Ah, the plans I had for our snow-enforced family weekend.  The lazy days spent together.....

Then #3 threw up all over his bed.  Laundry, make the bed, settle him down.

Then #6 threw up all over me.  Shower, laundry, put him to bed.  He did it again.  All over my bed at 2 AM.  Laundry, shower, make the bed, back to sleep.

This morning, #5 ...all over his bed, the hallway, the stairs.  Laundry, carpet cleaner, shower.

This is no longer looking like the fun and memorable weekend I planned.  It will be memorable, but in that "Remember when we were all snowed in and spent the entire weekend puking?" kind of way.

They say that to make God laugh all you have to do is tell him your plans.  I'm not sure I get the joke, but I hope He's laughing.

Oh, I had a week like that about 3 weeks ago. We weren't snowed in then. But my dh was not home and I did the laundry/ cleanup/ changing/ showering rountine alone. Needless to say the kids had a break from school. They spaced it out over a week's time, not all at once. Although, Brendan and I were sick at the same time on Wednesday/ Thursday.

I hope it passes quickly. I hope you all make to Church tomorrow--although I wouldn't recommend coming to our church. IF you go, go somewhere closer to home. If not, there's always EWTN.

Be safe. God bless you all.

You know we've been dealing with that here, right???

Seriously. It started a week ago today, and is still lingering (in that the children are still dragging and not wanting to eat much).

God bless you..I had #2 and #5 taking turns all night last Saturday night/Sunday morning..then Sunday night, it was #1. The Monday morning, it was #3, off and on all day. DH got it Monday night, and then I got a brush with it on Tuesday night, and again last night! :-(

I know the drill, though, so I am sorry that the children hit the carpet (fortunately, only one of ours hit carpet--she also hit tile, but that's ever so much easier to clean up).

Look at it this way, at least you didn't have plans, and you're not spreading it around everywhere! Small consolation, but ykwim about that...call if you need to vent, between wash loads...

Oh, I am so sorry! I envied your earlier post, with your dreams of a perfect snowed in weekend. I feel for you now!

That IS tragic. I feel for you and even empathize a little. My niece puked at the dinner table tonight which brought it all to a quick end.

My verification word is "pro-mend". I pray you are all on the mend soon.

We had that in January and ALL of us got it. I had just finished praying the St. Andrew 25 day prayer for salvation/health/better finances for the new year and this hit us on Jan. 1st. We can now laugh a little with God about it!

Love, Suzanne

Oh, I hope by now every one is feeling better.

Why is it that when anything is planned, something goes wrong? And, why only to some of us and never to others? I don't get it, either.
