What a Boy Wants

Two new boys have moved into our neighborhood.  They are exactly the same ages as my two eldest sons.  They came over this afternoon to play the Wii and check out my boys' house.

Their mouths fell open when they saw our classroom.  "What room is that?" they asked.

"It's our classroom," #2 replied.

"Do you like being homeschooled?"

"Yeah.  It's pretty cool.  As soon as I finish my work I get the rest of the day free. So, yeah."

A big sigh escaped from both of our visitors.  Then the elder one said, "And you get to spend the whole day with your mom."

"Yeah," the little one added. "That's the best part of all."

I think I love these boys.

I hate to be a lame commentator, but I just gotta say:

Great post!

Love it. I admit, I am always curious what schooled kids would think of my kids' life.

That could make me cry. Why doesn't every kid get to be with their mom? :(
