Don't You Hate It?

Don't you hate it when:

  • you have a blog and then someone tells you something that you are dying to write about, except you're not allowed to and then you can't think of anything else to write about instead of the first thing?
  • you scrub and clean your house to have people over, make yummy food for the guests, even plant flowers to make everything perfect, and then don't get to stay because it's an open house and you're not allowed?
  • you start an amazing book on your kindle reader thingy on your laptop but you can't finish it because the laptop died, the charger isn't charging, and the new charger won't be here until Tuesday?
  • there's an amazing offer on your house, but it's to lease not to buy?
  • there are people who want to buy your house but they are HAM radio people and the HOA won't let them put up that ugly tower thingy so they buy another house?
Me, too.  But mostly that first thing.  I hate having things I want to say but can't because "I promised to keep it a secret...blah, blah, blah..."

On the plus side:
  • I have people who love me and trust me enough to tell me stuff
  • I have a spotless house...at least for tonight....
  • I have a kindle reader thingy and a laptop to read it on....plus the anticipation of the second half of an awesome book is pretty sweet.
  • Someone other than me likes my house
  • I have nothing positive to say about those HAM radio people...I'm sure they're lovely folks.....but those towers are hideous

Still....secrets I can't ever share are no problem...but the "don't tell anyone now....I'll tell you when you can spill the beans"......it's that anticipation thing....killing me

Is the bubble pregnant! Hahaha I just started a rumor!!!!

Sew! That would be awesome! I don't know if she is, but you and I have enough readers between us that we could have some fun with that before she caught us!

*laughs* My poor mom has gone through the same torture three times-- once for each grandchild. (My daughter, my nephew, and Kaboodle-my-I-Don't-Know)

Family tradition to wait until at least three months in before we tell folks in general. Not sure if knowing when you can talk makes things better or not!

Ha ha, that made me laugh!!! First, can bubbles get pregnant??? Second, how's this for fun: Dean's started his own business, and our new insurance doesn't have maternity coverage!! So, I think the bubble rumor just got popped!

haha - SEW! Nope, not the bubble, it's Sew - number 2 here we come. Now I started one :) Jokes, friends.
But, yes, I do really hate it when I have something GREAT to share and can't.
And, you are a better person that I because I would be cursing the HOA up and down right about now if I were you.
Enjoy the clean house. My mom cleaned mine this week and its already almost back to a nightmare. I want to have her back once before baby comes, but don't want her to know her efforts are in vain....:)

Leila, don't get me started on health insurance that doesn't have maternity coverage....

Well, I did POAS yesterday. :) It was negative though so I will squash that rumor. :) (And I realized that two days I took my medicine on an empty stomach and for two days I had nausea.) :)hahahahaha

Laughing hard b/c my sister is pregnant and I can't tell anyone! Except you, because I just did! :) She has three daughter and has had three miscarriages (one was ectopic) so please PRAY! We have already heard a heartbeat and I am just so excited for the rest of the family to know. Probably after her appt today. Oh, gotta go call her, I think she already is done! Thanks for letting me share :)

Sew, I had the worst nausea on an empty stomach this past weekend and thought the same thing. However, I did not POAS. I ate and ate and ate. Turns out I had the stomach flu. Boo. The eating backfired big time! Especially the buffalo wings. Turns out they burn coming back up too. Sorry TMI. (okay, not really sorry...I rather enjoy grossing people out)

Um, is the big secret something DCF ladies already know?

I wanted to laugh at your post so bad, but I'm getting over the flu WheelbarrowRider has/had and am way too sore to laugh.

Sara B - Maybe....

Okay. I resemble that ham radio crew. That is what inhabits my husband's office, what took up 90% of the space in the moving van in the DITY part of our move from NC (and necessitated my leaving my antique piano, boxes of books, and a store of wheat berries in 5 gal buckets). Fortunately, we need a ton of concrete to put the mongo ugly towers up here, not to mention the guy wires, so we don't have anything but the bare minimum of antenna up.

It does add interest to the homeschooling though--nothing like your children talking about Ulan Bataar (or something like that) in Mongolia...lol. Not to mention the great work that the hams do for emergency groups...

Not to mention, that HOAs would be one big reason I could never live in a subdivision anymore.

Hopefully you will get a buy contract. Maybe you could do a lease-to-own?

And I'm looking forward to hearing about the secret... ;-)
