It's the beginning of November which means it's time for NaNoWriMo! What? You didn't know? You've never heard of it? It's National Novel Writing Month!
It's an annual writing challenge, a marathon for those of us who love to see our own words in print and wish that others would want to read them. The challenge is simple, write 50,000 words of a novel in the next 30 days. That breaks down to slightly more than 1600 words a day.
I must have lost my mind to undertake such a huge undertaking in the same month I'm having a baby, have houseguests coming for several weeks, cooking Thanksgiving dinner....oh yeah and have 3 family birthdays. So why am I doing it this year? LarryD from Acts of the Apostasy double dog dared me. There you have it.....my mature reason for working like a crazed woman this month. I'm still 12 years old and can't turn down a dare.
I have an idea. I own a computer. I said I'd give it a shot. All that's left is to actually write the thing. Ready...Set....Go!

It was a triple dog dare. I had to bring out the big guns.
your poor adrenals!
I'll read it! You are crazy though. Just saying.
Actually, this is the perfect time to do this while your creative pregnancy juices are still flowing. Once that baby is born all the brain cells will go into milk production. -Loretta
No sympathy.
You.Know.Why.
Go girl - we need someone to make all us baby mamas look good! LOL Loretta - so that's what happened to my brain cells...I was seriously wondering.
Well, have you finished the first chapter yet? Hehe.
Happy Writing.
Ha! Ha! Me too! And I have the SAME kind of month (sans birthing.) I got 0 words today because my washing machine broke down. I was just putting in a load of laundry before I sat down to type when...KLUNK.
Oh well, tomorrow it is.
You are very crazy. :)
Yay! I'm doing NaNo, too, but I don't have your crazy load & schedule. You go, girl!
Well, a little third-grade writing advice (not that I agree with my students!) - use a lot of verys and reallys and ands. They add up quickly. :)
